House Hunting

So, as of this afternoon, Sarah and I are officially pre-approved for a $375,000 loan to buy a house.  This means that we'll be starting to look in Davis as of this weekend - there's an open house Saturday before we leave for the party which looks interesting.  The prospect of buying a house is both exciting and scary all at once.

Good luck to you as well. Our biggest worry just now is that our landlady here wants to know now whether we'll be staying another year - since that's not something we can commit to, we'll need to either find somewhere to buy & move in by the end of August, or be stuck trying to find a month-to-month rental somewhere (probably not Davis, given how housing here works), and moving a couple of times. Not the end of the world, but it'd be annoying.
