2005 was a good year for me. It was my first year at a job that wasn't one flavor of temping or another. I really like my job and co-workers, I've grown closer to some really cool people, and I got engaged and handfasted to my wonderful fiancee. I've been enjoying getting to know her family and greatly appreciate the way we both get along well with each other's families. I'm looking forward to 2006, especially getting married in April (for those of you who we'd told to reserve May 13th for our wedding, it's been changed to April 22, just in case you hadn't heard) Our household is all moving at the moment, but the new place is much nicer, less money, and has a landlady who will actually do routine maintenance in a timely fashion.

Resolutions for 2006
- I must start making myself get enough sleep on a regular basis
- Get married

I approve of both sleep and marriage, so allow me to say that I approve of your goals!

Sleeping wastes too much time in bed.

If he's already exhausted, how much fun would he be?

um... not that I oppose your resolution to get married in any way, but I think Rich and Melissa's wedding is on the 22nd of April... I don't have the date in front of me, but my mom gave me a head's up, and she's usually right... their wedding is probably in southern california. and they were there first and affie and filthylilanimal were going to make the road trip down and we were going together... but how can I miss your guys' wedding?! crap.

what was the reason for the change? birthday present? ;)

Our minister's pregnant, and her projected due date is 5 days after our original wedding date, so we decided to change dates rather than ministers. Sorry for the conflict, but we'll still like you even if you can't make it. :)

Fiends! Tell me it's an afternoon wedding so I still have the Gaskells option! ;-)

We're planning to have the ceremony in the early to mid-afternoon, so you would probably be able to take off in time for Gaskell's should you wish. We hadn't actually realized that that was a Gaskell's day.

Well I didn't think that Gaskells was prominent enough for you to enter your planning. ;-)

Of course, getting married a week earlier would make for troublesome anniversaries...
