For all you in Davis, Sarah and I need some people to help prepare the site of our wedding for the tent that we're renting. We've got some tree trimming to do, and a raised patch of ground that we need to smooth out the top of. If people can make it, Saturday, April 1 (This Saturday) would be ideal, because the church is havig a general workday anyway. We'll need to borrow soe pruning shears, one of those saws on a pole for some of the bigger branches, shovels, hoes and rakes - if anyone has any of this stuff that we could borrow, let me know. I'd plan on meeting at the church at 1pm to start, and going from there. We can provide food or other appropriate bribes. Anyway, let me know if you'll be able to help. Thanks!

Willing, but unable.

However...

I have MOUNTAINS of stuff left over from our wedding. Anything you're still needing in the realm of plastic plates, napkins, frilly picks, votive candles, bubbles, netting, japanese lanterns, silk rose petals (my church wouldn't allow fresh), blah, blah, blah? I have fantastic glass vases too but I'm afraid they wouldn't survive shipping. Just let me know!

two shovels and a hoe available. There's also one set of long armed pruning shears (able to take branches up to about 1", although I've abused them into hacking of stuff about twice that big). They're rusty but servicable.

Given the Danville cancellation, I may even have time available too. (and then I could hand over the RSVP that I put into my datebook for safekeeping and then searched the entire house for before discovering it by accident this weekend. :)

Will check through the tool shed, and bring what I can on Sat.

Lovely church, btw, and lovely members.

On another note, I have it on good authority that the fellow who will be playing the organ (or piano, I forget which) needs you to get in touch with him. Drop me a line if you don't know how to contact him; my e-mail address is rscrawford at mossroot dot com.

The candles would be nifty. What color are they?

Hehehe... Perhaps we can chip in, since sadly we won't be able to attend your wedding. (The week being the only opportunity for Liz and I to have a nice long vacation anytime soon.)

I have mostly white tealights and a mess of pastellish votives. I also have about two dozen votive cups (simple cylinder) decopaged with various handmade paper. They're all different. I'll try to take a photo or three and email in the next dayish?
