So, for those of you who weren't there, I proposed to Sarah last night at Pryankster Pryactice, and she said yes. We'd picked out the ring together, but she was expecting me to propose on Valentine's Day - our 1-year anniversary. The ring showed up Weds. night, and I managed to call C & arrange for a set of Mage to be included at pryactice. At the end of the set, I got down on one knee, took out the ring and asked her to marry me. She did suspect that this might be coming - I'm bad at keeping that kind of a secret, but the reaction was all I'd hoped for anyway. And yes, I'm babbling a bit...
This: http://www.crystalrealm.com/cgibin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=333&p_catid=20 is the ring we got, with a slightly larger sapphire, and with the inner two bands in white gold rather than yellow. As a side note, Mandira at Crystal Realm was very helpful in designing the ring, and we highly recommend her shop for such items (we'll be getting our wedding rings from her as well).
And coincidentally enough, we were already planning to meet her Dad for dinner tonight, so we'll be surprising him. :)

Date: 2005-02-04 07:08 pm (UTC)Just scary (wonderful) how many people are tying the knot around my life right now. There's A LOT. I had 7 weddings to attend last year. This year is looking about the same.
Eventually I'll run out of single friends... right?
